It's the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, it's time, once again, for the Tennis Fixation Holiday Gift Guide!
Each year, I scour my favorite shops and sources, searching out the latest, cutest, most dazzling tennis items that players like you and me would love to give or receive for Christmas/Hanukkah/pick-your-holiday. This year, however, I found a true expert to put together the list. Her name is Ivy and she's the owner of SlamGlam.com, my absolute favorite on-line tennis retailer (she also has a fabulous selection of golf items). SlamGlam carries a huge selection of tennis wear and accessories and has several lines that you just won't find anywhere else.
Ivy was kind enough to put together a list of tennis gift items especially for Tennis Fixation. These are things that are big sellers, are super hot and would be so fun to give or receive. So – let's get shopping!
First up is this luscious Chocolate Quilt Tennis Backpack from 40 Love Courture. The chocolate brown color is extremely cute but – picture this – it has a pink lining inside! Love that! And this backpack will accommodate up to three racquets – for the truly serious tennis player who is out to intimidate.
While I love that chocolate brown color, I absolutely adore this Glove It Metro Tennis Backpack in white. I know, I know – how would I ever keep it clean? But doesn't this look tres chic? This bag holds two racquets and can be worn as a backpack with two straps or the straps can be zipped together into a shoulder strap.
So you say you're more of a tennis diva, looking for something a little bit risque? Try this Life Is Tennis Reptilian Scarlet Elite Small Sling. This small backpack holds two racquets, can be worn as a backpack or over the shoulder and – oh! how I love that red snake skin!
While I can't survive without my tennis bag, what I truly covet is one of these Queen Bea Designs Monogrammed Tennis Racquet Covers. These are made from a natural-colored canvas and can be personalized with a colorful monogram. I haven't seen anyone on the court with one of these and I would love to be the first.
If you're looking for something to get your message across when you're on the court, how about the cute tee shirts from COME ON! These come in lots of fun colors and in sizes for women as well as girls. My favorite is the pink, shown below. There are also towels, hats and visors in this line, featuring the same “Come On!” logo.
As for this next item, I can speak from personal experience and tell you – this would not only be a welcome gift, it's somewhat of a necessity for the avid tennis player. While we are all used to sitting on ratty towels, this fitted seat cover would be fabulous to have for the drive home after the match. The Seat Armor Car Seat Towel comes in tan or black and can be embroidered with two darling crossed tennis racquets.
Are you looking for the perfect gift for your favorite tennis captain or partner? Check out these delightful tennis towels from Tennis Karma. They're embroidered with cute logos and the price is just right ($24.98).
Perhaps your tennis captain is more into the tennis party scene. In that case, you might want to set her up with one of these Insulated Wine Bottle Holders by 40 Love Courture. I love this “Lime Slither” pattern (and there are plenty more). Just FYI – there is also a tennis tote and a tennis hobo bag in this same adorable print.
What's the point of a wine insulator if you don't have the perfect wine glass to go with it? If you want to make sure your captain favors you with high lines, great partners and early matches, get her this Queen of the Court wine glass.
I'm always on the lookout for pretty tennis jewelry that doesn't scream “tennis jewelry.” That's why I love the Tennis Bracelets from Sporty Chic. You can see that the little gold beads (below) are actually tennis balls. This black onyx one could be worn with just about anything on any occasion.
The final item that Ivy recommends is just what I need. It's one of the many laptop and iPad Covers that SlamGlam carries. This would be a great accessory to carry when traveling on a tennis vacation or for a tournament. The one I'm showing here is the Cinda B Bella Fiore Rasberry eTablet Sleeve and just happens to match my tennis bag. Hint hint. Anyone listening?
These are all such great gift items that it's hard to pick a favorite. Any one of them would be a welcome addition to my own collection of tennis necessities. Thanks so much to Ivy and SlamGlam for putting together this incredible tennis shopping list.
